Comox Valley to Host U15 Provincial Box Lacrosse Championships at the Sports Centre

The Comox Valley Lacrosse Association is hosing the U15 Provincial lacrosse championships from July 4 to 7 at the Comox Valley Sports Centre on Vanier Drive in Courtney.

Everyone is welcome to watch some exciting youth box lacrosse action and learn about Canada’s official summer sport.   The competition will be intense as 24 teams from across the Province battle for the gold medal in tiers A1, A2, B and C.  Games will be on each day from 8am to 9:30pm starting on Thursday, and culminating with medal games for all tiers on Sunday between 8am and 2pm.

The Comox Valley Wild U15 B team will be part of the action as the team came out on top on the Island with both Island and League banners.  The team takes on Coquitlam on Thursday at 12:30 pm, Prince George on Friday at 5 pm, and Penticton on Saturday at 12:30 pm.   Friends, family, alumni, and those just curious about the game are invited to come out to cheer on the teams.

The Comox Valley Lacrosse Association offers box lacrosse to youth aged 5 to 15 from Black Creek to Fanny Bay.  This year teams also welcomed players from Campbell River to the U15 and U17 teams. Families interested in joining can watch for learn-to-play drop in sessions starting in January 2025.
